  3. Texas won its independence, from Mexico, in the 1836 Revolution. And was an independent country for 10 years before being annexed by America, for yall people that may be unaware. That is partially why, not the entire reason why, but partially why, many of us Texans are keen on national divorce. Because for us Texans in particular, it’s actually a real thing that we could legally do under our own state Constitution. Will it happen? doubt it. But that is at least partially why the concept and thought exists in the a not insignificant swathe of Texas freedom lovers.
