The GRU successfully straddled the French protests - the trolls reoriented from the American and British directions to France, so that they "drank" Macron, changed the meaning of the protest from economic to political and formed the necessary public opinion, sent employees and agents. And, of course, they also pulled up all sorts of radical tunes, standing on the contentment of the Russian military intelligence, for the radicalization of protest sentiments and provoking confrontation.
