I peel my potoes for potatoes cakes. They are lighter and fluffy. Great grandma in the south in the 1870s did that..
1
But mashed potatoes, 1 egg, cream salt pepper mixed then put it on dutch oven to brown. You can put very little flour.
1
Dutch skillet brown
1
I also use mashed potatoes my great grandma made them this way, grandma and my mom. We fried them. Idaho Potato really the best way.
1
Cooking dinner with family. We all pitched in!! Flu season coming and extremely cold snowy weather is coming too. Get prepared for winter in your cabin. Blankets. Hay around cabin dry foods and fruits ect.

We never knew if was going to be a bad winter. So we were always prepared

Ideas to look up old receipes..Edible flowers in salads. Chicken noodle soup homemade when its cold again. Corn bread and ham and beans was a favorite of great grand father in Ireland. He learned corn bread from here when he landed in New York

Pardon the turkey. I always thought that was funny. A white turkey do we still have any? So many animals have gone distinct. Until Jesus comes back so will they. A doo doo bird, donkey, can you name them?

Fried mashed potatoes are good but I flatted them and that's potatoes cakes out here. No potatoes skins. Someday when cholestrol controled more I'll fry them like you do, looks so tasty. I've learned alot from you. Remember things my grandma cooked that I had no idea what the receipe was called ect.

I am thinking chocolate cake for dessert tonight
