@xtremelemon8612 You do realize that Earth has had MUCH more CO2 in its atmosphere before and it didn't wipe life out (or even come close) or turn into a Venus-like planet don't you? Humans would die off from self-annihilation LONG before Earth turned into anything like Venus....at which point things would begin to reverse themselves....just like they've done in the past.

I also absolutely dispute that based on the same exact arguments that Greg Caldwell has given you. You go on to say "life will reassert itself..". Millions of years is nothing on a universal time scale. I believe the point being made here was that humans are going to destroy all life...that isn't going to happen. I suppose maybe we should go back to living tribally and living short, uncomfortable lives with little - zero technology so that everyone can feel really good about themselves? Because NONE of the comforts we have today is possible without doing some sort of damage...unless some miraculous new form of technology comes along. Which it MAY but that takes time....time which is needed to be spent living the way we are now as a bridge to be able to even get there.

@johnbernardlambe8582 No, thus miraculous technology has NOT come along. Name exactly WHICH renewable resources are available that are economically feasible AND can meet the demand.
