The United States' original naturalization law was VERY clear: "any free, WHITE, adult male or female who had resided within the limitations and jurisdictions of the United States for a period of 2 years" was eligible for citizenship. Irish and Italians weren't and aren't causing a massive spike in crime nation wide wherever they settle either.

Imagine America being by comparison nearly crime free and with TRILLIONS of extra dollars from all the inmates we have to pay for and welfare programs to put towards something useful like the space program or cancer research.
