  6. The only people oppressing African Americans are other African Americans. If you are an African American and speak/dress well, educate yourself and get a good job, other African Americans call you a "sell-out" or "a slave to the white man's world" or some other such nonsense because it isn't "cool'. I know well-educated African Americans who are basically disowned from their own families for exactly those reasons.
