  1.  @richardr8753  Exactly. The reason for the 2nd Amendment is to defend yourself against the government, should they become tyrannical. Kind of hard to defend yourself against them with bolt action 22's and snap pops when they have infrared missiles, assault weapons, gun ships, tanks, etc. Taking away the ability to have even a chance at defending yourself against the government pretty much nullifies the reason to begin with for the 2nd Amendment.
