Well YEAH! I mean you should just call the police! ....oh wait...they don't want police either. What are we supposed to do again in case of violent criminal activity?

@Joseph-fs4kh I hate to say it but I think this may be beyond voicing opinions to solve this.

I would've disagreed not too long ago.....now I'm not so sure. I think it's heading that way as well unfortunately.
4
@vek G I'm beginning to see it that way as well unfortunately.
4
That's a VERY good idea.

@tristramshandy9326 Stop being a complete idiot. Nobody is suggesting that and you're well aware of it.
4
@aliyahbeverly9117 Another fact: these imprisoned people are equally as likely to commit violent crimes. Weird how that works, isn't it? (I had to word tbis oddly because apparently, YouTube also doesn't care for ALL the facts and refuse to post certain facts they don't agree with.)
3
@ileanahope466 Present ANY evidence you have, other than your personal claims, that this is the case and actually happening.
3
@gettingoffthecouchnow 😎👍 agreed 100%

@aliyahbeverly9117 "Trump literally runs the government..." You don't even have a basic, child-like understanding of how the government actually works, do you?
2
@wendywill7519 Nobody is suggesting ALL children need to be hit. SOME however DO need this. Stop being so idiotic and twisting words.
2
Phil Harvey EXACTLY! COMPLETELY AGREE! 👍
2
Marten Krueger Where is your evidence that this is actually going on?

@wendywill7519 Nobody cares what you agree with, especially a child that has no respect for what you agree with. The fact is: SOME children only understand and NEED physical discipline, IF you want any hope of them being a productive member of society. This is a fact as all children aren't like yours. If YOU were able to raise a respectable child without physically disciplining them, then great! The fact that you had to twist someone's words to even ATTEMPT making a valid point shows how much faith you actually have in your methods when looked at across the board.

@wendywill7519 Lmfao! Wendy Will the psychologist! Do you have a degree in psychology? I doubt it. Not that it's any of YOUR business but I'll humor you: I was VERY RARELY hit (IF you could even call it being HIT) as I wasn't a disobedient, smart-mouthed child. Why do you ask? Because by your highly-regarded, professional opinion, I must agree with physical discipline (when necessary) because I was hit a lot? Get a life Wendy and stop being so dramatic.
1
@wendywill7519 Even furthermore, Wendy the psychologist, let's say for the sake of argument that I'm lying and I was hit a LOT because I misbehaved a LOT. So? I'm a pretty well-educated, hard-working, respectful, productive member of society who loves my family as opposed to being a low life scum who does nothing because I wasn't disciplined ENOUGH. What exactly is the point of ANY discipline at all if THAT isn't good enough?
1
@wendywill7519 "What else could I ask for?" Exactly. SOME of my friends WERE physically disciplined QUITE OFTEN because TALKING to them had zero effect. THEY turned out just fine, a near mirror image of your description of your child. What else could THEY (the parents) ask for? Apparently, SOMETHING they did worked, and it certainly wasn't calm discussions as, once again, a child CAN and sometimes DOES have a child-like mentality (imagine that!) that doesn't quite grasp "complicated" subjects like fairness or why we should be respectful.

@stephtimms1776 Attention and involvement ARE the most important, and if physical discipline (eventually) wasn't necessary to discipline your children then that's great! 👍 All I'm saying is SOME kids need physical discipline. JW started the thread by saying he would've been disciplined for acting in such an unpermissable manner and Wendy Will the psychologist twisted his/her words as if it were being said that ALL children NEED TO and SHOULD BE hit, even if they aren't misbehaving or solely communication works with them. That's a pretty big stretch of the imagination and I'm fairly sure was intentionally warped and a willfully stupid comment.

@wendywill7519 If you choose not to physically discipline them, that's fine. You are lucky however that you had a child that responded to being simply talked to. In the animal kingdom, ALL other species who care for their children until adulthood use some form of physical discipline to teach their children. We are hardly one step "out" of being an animal ourselves, if you can even say that. Some kids lack the "brain power" (or whatever term you'd like to use) to be verbally reasoned with until they reach a certain age (hell...I've seem GROWN ADULTS who can't be reaoned with verbally) and NEED physical discipline to become good citizens. This is the problem: lots of people like you were not so fortunate to have such a child yet refused to physically discipline them and complained about it so much that it's basically illegal now at all. This is why we have major problems in schools now where the children run the school, have NO respect for authority and we have things like kids getting in a teacher's face, threatening physical violence and calling him a ni**er until the teacher (who has been assaulted by students already like some Lord of the Flies horror movie) loses control and pummels the kid's face in. Then everyone wants to blame the teacher. "It's HIS fault! We need to lock that guy up!". No...it's the PARENTS' faults, and had you had a child like this, you would be partly to blame as well. Again, fortunately for you, you are not.
