@markburch6253 Again straying far from the point. The number of corpses:piles of feces has nothing to do with anything. We also weren't talking about FLIES living on feces. What you said was MAGGOTS live in feces....which I've never seen once. What I have seen are FLIES on feces and MAGGOTS living in CORPSES. And once again straying far from the point and dodging the question which is relevant to the video and to the original comment: I never said no maggots carry disease, I never said flies don't carry disease, I never said maggots are your best option of all, I never said screwfly maggots are your best choice, I never said maggots pulled straight out of feces (which I've never seen them anyway) would be better than medical maggots, I never said a lot of these strawman arguments you are bringing up. YOU said "wild maggots WILL KILL YOUR ASS.". That is not true. As shown in the video and website I linked, LOTS of people assses not only weren't killed by maggots but they actually helped. Did ALL maggots help EVERYONE? No. Are wild maggots a better option than watching gangrene set in if you cannot get medical attention any time soon and gangrene is a near certainty? That's the question here that you keep refusing to answer for some reason and keep trying to find ways to put words in my mouth and continue asking completely irrelevant questions like "Was Hugh Glass an insect specialist?". Why won't you answer the simple question Mark?: in such a scenario as Hugh Glass was in, would it be better to risk gangrene and worse infection most likely leading to a certain, prolonged, painful death because "wild maggots WILL kill your ass"? Or would you take your chance with these wild maggots? Not maggots from a corpse, not maggots from feces (wherever that happens) not maggots that you know FOR SURE have been tested positive for life threatening bacteria/viruses, not maggots that are known screwfly larvae, just plain old, unidentified wild maggots that hatched from an egg onto you. Would you take your chance with them or watch your legs and arms rot away until they fall off while you suffer and die with fever, extreme diarrhea, etc.? It's a very simple question Mark and I don't understand why you keep dancing around it and keep coming up with all these scenarios that NOBODY ever said. Because what you said wasn't "maggots don't necessarily eat ONLY dead flesh", what you said was "wild maggots WILL kill your ass". Just answer the question Mark. It's a lot easier than the mental gymnastics you're attempting to make yourself correct.
