Theodore Roosevelt was once shot in the chest before a speech. He declined immediate medical treatment, went on to apologize if people in the back couldn't hear him (because of his gunshot wound), someone called him a liar and he snatched his vest open to show his wound, then continued on with his speech, receiving medical treatment later. We have gone from that to a man who is so scared of being called names that he blunders everything he says and is a literal puppet in little over only 100 years. Republicans today aren't much better, with very few exceptions. God help us.
