  1. But they take a shit ton of efforts and will power though. Look my family is big on nicotine (French, gotta keep entertaining the stereotypes amiright) and they've always kept in denial or legitimized their addiction by saying shit like "everything is unhealthy, you go outside and inhale pollution", "food can be as dangerous", "everybody will die some day, nicotine or not", etc... and although I ended up addicted myself, I've always kept it real. I know it's bad, I know I'm gonna die from it in my 50s and I know I HAVE to stop for my own and my entourage's sakes but I just can't. It's too hard. Props to you for fighting AND letting yourself tempted on top of it.

  3. I'd say it's much more of a coping mechanism than a physical addiction. People addicted to games often time become so because there is something else that they lack of have no control over. Fill that need and you won't crave videogames in an toxic way. But I feel like gacha games are a completely different genre which is much more targeted to casino freaks (you know, the dopamine, the reach, the satisfaction, etc...). They're essentially roulette/coin machine disguised as videogames.
