I went through 3 therapists who: 1) were devaluating/disregarding my opinions on my own feelings/decisions/philosophy. 2) stopped after 2 months because too many patients, contacted me month later to get me to follow a therapy privately asking for cash (illegal to top the max patients ceiling where I live). 3) old dude who had no understanding of my world (technologies, software engineering, video games). 4) the 4th was the right one. She helped me a lot and still calls me to this day to check on me. She is super involved in her patients' lives as well, which I thought was a great thing. I'd say if you want to follow a therapy just keep looking until you find the good one. 😊

@AlexisBii That's because they are psychiatrists, not therapists. They don't talk with you, they prescribe you medication and follow up to see how it affects you. They are doctors specialized in the brain pretty much. I'm no expert but I believe that's how psychiatrists work, even though they have psychological knowledge they focus more on physiological and the science behind the brain.
