  1. It's very costly to build anything in Alaska, they just started with Texas and will spread out eventually to other states as well. Most of the time, people build datacenters in NY state, but those might be too big to make it work on budget? I am sure the Texas grid won't handle that much power cyphering through, so they are probably building their own power plant on promise, and so they don't have to pay much in electricity costs anyway. Plus, they could be burying most of it underground at cool temps to just vacuum hot air like they do in Europe? At the end of the day they thought about this long before you (or anyone of us) did, and if they came to that conclusion they have their reasons.
