@meroshango9603 You're against "forced shit" that EU enforce on corporations to have a free market where innovation strives and give opportunities to small devs to make a living but you are supporting a corporation pushing "forced shit" to block access to the market behind a paywall. Make it make sense... You also need to realize that not every app can land on the app store according to the terms of service and prohibited content, which is HIGHLY punitive, and those apps use PWA as a last resort. What will happen to them ? F*ck the devs ? Last thing, 2 wrongs don't make a right. Sony locking the ecosystem in PS Store isn't a good thing either and just because they do it doesn't mean Apple should. It means Sony should face the same regulations and the same punishments.

@timmmm5012 Many things. For example direct hardware communication, like codecs and encoding which aren't available on the browser. Similarly you are limited to the use of networking, like hosting a server on the end user device isn't possible, for example. For regular crud client apps you are still limited by background access and performance is also worse. My point isn't that PWA is bad it's that it's the only way for certain apps to be installable on an end user device because of Apple's prohibited content terms. And if Apple's plan comes to fruition, they will run out of business.

@jamarplunkett3283 You realize that Google operate the same way, right ? The difference is that Google allows 3rd party stores and lets users install standalone apps directly. I'm not arguing against fees, they built and they run the service so they can decide how they want to monetize it however they want idgaf. I'm arguing against the shitty practices around the restrictions and how now Apple is going to shut down many small indie devs out of the pwa platform.
