@Albert-xl3nx I'm a self taught software engineer. Do what is the easiest to learn first, so you can get a job and get paid. Web development is fairly easy to learn on your own in your free time, there are many free resources online for it so it's definitely accessible. Now I gotta warn you, it might be easy to aquire the skill but it's much more difficult to get a job if you don't have a degree or a voucher despite what people say. Good luck bro !

@oggan97 Not even slightly related. A web developer design and implement the experience a user go through while using a web application and do research to determine what is the most accessible way to display data. That's what a web developer is. You're talking about embedded programming (anything satellite, missiles, robotics IoT software development) which is clearly not what this person is trying to become. See that's why I used to put a lot of pressure on myself. People who don't know what the fuck they're talking about mystifying simple concepts.

@TheScreamingFedora UX design and front-end goes hand in hand, the web developer does both. That's why I said "design and implement". And, no, you don't "hook a website to a smart bulb", that's backend which is the role of a full stack developer.

@oggan97 Shit my bad I misread your comment sorry. The thing is my teachers used to spread false ideas, you know the classics, and basically bullied me out of dropping out to focus on self teaching so I'm on the edge when it comes to this topic.
