@eksortso No, there is absolutely no movement in the UK to adopt US spelling. I am aware of some Americans who prefer to read books written by British authors such as JK Rowling in the original British spelling though, and think rewriting them for the American market is patronising.

@eksortso Yes, I think that's correct. It's also quite usual to change the title. One of the Harry Potter books was renamed.
