All home working has massive security and data safety implications which have hardly been considered yet. I've dealt with remote workers where there is foreign language chatter going on in the background; Heaven knows where they were and who else was hearing my private details.

  22. The trouble with female bosses is they are too eager to please. They don't defend their organisations or their subordinates. If the current fad is to say you're institutionally racist and the politicians approve of this, then women bosses will parrot the nonsense to keep the higher ups happy. A senior female manager said to me she considered her job to be to find out what her bosses wanted and give it to them. Meanwhile a male manager defends his team and rejects suggestions they are racist. He will cheerfully say he's got a fine bunch of lads.

He has a chapter on hybridisation, and yes a first generation cross may have extra vigour but the genetic gears grind in subsequent generations - the second generation is sickly and it gets worse and worse for future generations. Eventually they die out. Ask a farmer. If you mix two pedigree herds you don't get a third pedigree herd. You get trash; not immediately but eventually. Europeans have 3-4% Neanderthal genes, tops. This isn't a 50/50 situation. And those genes are associated with ill-health. They were advantageous to Neanderthals but not so much to modern man. They are still in the process of leaving our gene pool. It is possible to tell if hybrids had a Neanderthal mother and Sapiens father or the other way around, because the Y chromosome is only inherited from the father. This tells you a lot about which species was dominant. When Sapiens first came to Europe the father of hybrids was mainly Neanderthal. Forty thousand years later when Sapiens were winning the father of hybrids was usual Sapiens. Always the winners take the females of the losers. European distinctiveness comes from the rigours of living in Europe, with its harsh winters. Europeans need to plan a year ahead otherwise they die out over the winter. The need to count days, invent calendars, build warm houses has made them thoughtful. Africa has always been a cornucopia of meat on the hoof and fruit on the trees; at least until modern times. European intervention has increased the population beyond the carrying capacity of the continent. Bad us.
