I don't blame Ncuti Gatwa for wanting to leave. He must know he has been hired for the blackness of his skin and so RTD can lust after him by making dance around with no trousers on. ("The Doctor" split in two and Gatwa didn't get the trousers; the artifice is transparent.) In Torchwood there was actual naked copulation between John Barrowman and another man.
