That's more recent. Car tyres were uncommon in 1950s East Africa.

@ColinMill1 Because cars were uncommon. Most Africans, especially villagers, didn't have them.

@IUsedToBeSomeoneElseX Yes, I lived in Arusha in the 1960s. Even then whites had cars but Africans did not. So I imagine in the 1950s there were even fewer cars. We shipped ours out from the UK. You couldn't buy them there. Back then we were teaching the first few Africans to drive - a challenge in itself - they had far more confidence than ability. Later having an African driver got quite common.

In the 1960s-70s Mombasa was wonderful. I went there at least 20 times and never regretted it.

Black violence is a race to the bottom. Only the murderous survive to make the next generation. They say 1 in 100 white are psychopaths and this helps the tribe survive. Blacks have needed a much higher percentage.
