  1. Sorry, but flying cars are a non-starter in cities. The future is more and better mass transit: monorails above, buses at ground level, subways below; travelators to move between levels. The world also needs a cargo moving system; something that can move a "standard box" from anywhere to anywhere reasonably fast using underground tubes. Bespoke luggage has got to go - unless you want to put it in a standard box, of course - the future is carry-on only and your luggage gets there before you, and can be redirected anytime if you change your mind. The standard box moving system could also double as storage - you could send a box to do time in a giant hanger.
