  2. There seems to be no judicial accountability. When a ruling is overturned by a higher court there is no sanction on the judge who got it wrong. In other professions he would be reprimanded, sent for retraining or even struck off if serious enough. That never seems to happen to magistrates or judges. There needs to be accountability for errors.
