  1. All serious astronomers simply ignore the fact that there are thousands of UFO sightings, going back thousands of years. Alexander the Great's army was attacked by "flying shields" (disk-shaped craft); Christopher Columbus, en-route to America, saw craft coming out if the sea and flying up into the sky; the Pentagon confirmed that the tic-tac UFOs are beyond human technology. Even George Washington reports "alien" assistance. There is no paradox - aliens exist and are already here. The trouble is the "aliens" are too big a story to digest. They were here before us. They probably created us. They probably terraformed the Earth, which isn't actually in the Sun's goldilocks zone. They probably put the moon into its implausible orbit. If they haven't personally met you, that's because you are a tiny irrelevance in the big picture.
