  1. No... it isn't just that. It is a combination of demographics and politics. There is obvious a positive correlation between those two things, but a city like Burlington, VT (the capital of Tarl's state) is heavily leftist but it's not a hellscape at all. That is because it is 85% White and only 5% Black.
