If a massive tidal wave devastated the entire coast and surged about 75 miles inland, and it all went under water and everyone died, the remainder of the state would be one of the most conservative areas in the country. You may not believe me, but it is true. Only problem would be all crooks in Sac would still be alive. Why does the ocean always make people into communists? I don't get it. I love the coast. Always have. It pisses me off that all of our coastal regions are infested with Leftists.
