Simply ignoring it doesn't make anyone anti-gay, it just means they won't prostate themselves to a self righteous and flamboyant minority group that weaponizes their sexuality against their political opponents. Look at Morgan Freeman's view on Black History month. Ignore it and let people become tolerant on their own. You can't force tolerance.
