@robertmiller6444 One man's crimes and atrocities are another's acts of heroism. For example, some frame Pinochet as a brutal dictator and a criminal for throwing commies out of helicopters, but I see him as the savior of that country from Marxist hell. Just sayin'...

Pinochet gave up power in Chile. Most authoritarians don't though, because they know they would get tried and executed by the government to which they gave up their power.

@tommyodonovan3883 Yes. And that would not be the case had the Marxists who took power in the early 70s remained in power.
