I joined the Marines to get my education paid for. I didn't even get killed, which was nice.

@blakejameson1114 I'm not here to answer your questions you pasty little malapert.

@ramosel Basically the same. My folks were poor and didn't GAF. They figured I'd just figure it out I guess. Unlike you, I def socialized and partied in high school and my grades suffered as a result. I couldn't get into any good colleges, so it was either stack produce and go to community college or join the military. I figured experience, steady income, physical fitness, weapons training were all better than the alternative. I never allowed the politics of it to cross my mind. And it definitely turned me into an anti-regime nationalist. Now I have multiple degrees, have lifelong healthcare benefits, used the VA loan to invest in real estate and I own multiple properties. I'm in an actual position to be a catalyst for change, and people actually listen. Doubt "Blake" there can say the same. Generally, a person's fate is what they make for themselves.

@blakejameson1114 Again, you're wrong. I cared a great deal, but saw the bigger picture, something which apparently you're either unable or unwilling to grasp. I made a sacrifice and put my personal convictions aside, wagering that the experience would eventually make me a more competent and redoubtable person. I was correct.

@blakejameson1114 You immediately came into the conversation from a position of moral judgement and now you're continuing that schtick. You wanted to join, but were rejected. You're still crying about it 20 years later. And now you're calling me dishonest, because...why exactly? It's okay you didn't join, but attacking people who did with some moralist cope is petty and, as I said, utterly myopic. Trying to big time someone who actually went and did it smacks of obvious compensation and is even more pathetic. You should realize that people who join the military have a lot of different reasons for joining. We aren't a monolith, and we aren't all good bois who are ignorant of what the government actually is. Most of us know the government is not some benevolent purveyor of "fReeDom aNd dEmoCraCy." We know we're working for the mafia, but we see the bigger picture and use it to our advantage. You're still stuck in the 3D: "no moral person could actually be in the military if they knew what the government actually is and does." Myself and thousands of others graduated to the 4D decades ago and said: "we know what they truly are, but we're going to let them train us to eventually be their undoing."

@ramosel I'm not retired and I'll still help them pack. I heard the Central African Republic is nice this time of year.

@blakejameson1114 Joining the military is not a merc suicide mission for the NWO unless you let it be. Anyone who says otherwise is either inconceivably ignorant or is pushing a 100% grass-fed cope for not having the spine to go join themselves. I know your type through and through. You're the guy at the potato rallies screeching "wE tHe PeOpLe" and waving a Gadsden flag thinking you're "making a difference." Well, hate to burst your bubble, but you're not. The only people capable of leading the inevitable fight to come are those who know how to train, fight and more importantly, WIN on an actual field of battle. That isn't you Sally. That's me. Now go research my favorite historical figure Arminius. Maybe then you'll realize why I did what I did.

@blakejameson1114 You're going to sit there and unironically lecture a combat veteran about how to win a battle? Lol you probably base your understanding of warfare off computer games. Real war isn't Ghost Recon neckbeard. The coming conflict is going to be a nightmare of the senses, and yes, it will be fought unconventionally with guns. And of course you're a reject. I could smell the cope from a mile away. "i wAntEd tO jOiN, buT..." I don't care. When words fail, violence is the only way forward. And luckily, I'm capable of both, unlike you. Your likely naive ideas and moments of introspection won't be of any use to anyone when the SHTF. Too bad you're too myopic to realize that. In the coming conflict, you'll be more useful as a meat shield for men of greater value.

@blakejameson1114 I agree with the decision they made. Can't have some dude with the 'beetus in combat. Without insulin, you'd become a liability. You know what irks me the most about people like you? We probably would have otherwise been allies, but you couldn't check your moralistic myopia at the door.

Imagine if we sent people like that to the gallows or the salt mines where they belong instead of allowing them to maintain a comfortable existence.
