If someone knowingly infected me with a deadly virus, I would want to kill them, and I'm pretty sure the majority of Americans would want to do the same thing. Yet, in CA, this transgression is only a misdemeanor now. This is how out of touch this government is with normal people.

I hope CA secedes. The supporting counties of the State of Jefferson movement could appeal directly to the United States Congress for statehood, similar to how West Virginia was formed. If California would be in insurrection, Jefferson could petition to rejoin the Union as an independent state. Then I could move back home and not be tyrannized by Leftists anymore.

They're already attempting to make it legal to be an illegal alien there, for all intents and purposes. Southern California already resembles Mexico and Whites are a minority in California, so....it pretty much is Mexico.

The State of Jefferson initiative would doom the Southern portions of California to their fate, and create another conservative state that is sparsely populated and holds vast natural resources.

@ relaxrx: No it isn't. The biggest fires are mostly in Napa and Sonoma counties. The triangle is Humboldt, Mendocino, and Trinity counties. There is one large fire in Mendocino Co. and a few small ones in Del Norte and Trinity, but that happens most years.

@ArticulatedHypernova: I grew up in that region, but bailed because of the Leftist insanity and inflation. I lived in Sonoma, Mendocino and Placer counties growing up. The latter two of those counties are in the proposed SOJ. Btw, the CA star would simply be replaced by the SOJ star...still an even 50. :) CA is an unsustainable Hell project. The northern part of the state is totally abused by the Bay Area, Sac, and LA Basin. The proposed SOJ would be a paradise, with vast resources, arable land, water etc. It is a CA conservative's dream.

Nick Ortega ...Sac and the Bay Area would fall in that category too. Those metros might be considered NorCal, but they aren't really NorCal. Lol By the way, I was born and raised in Mendocino Co. and lived in Redding and Auburn for a while. When someone from Sac says they're from NorCal, people from Del Norte or Siskiyou or any real northern county laugh.

Florida is ranked #1 in fiscal health out of any state by the Mercatus Center at George Washington University. https://www.mercatus.org/statefiscalrankings California is ranked 43rd. WhyDidntIInventYT Southern California would be totally unsustainable without the rest of the state or at least access to free trade with the north. Most of the food is grown in the central valley north of LA and the water is brought from out of state. SoCal would become a desert without water rights from the Colorado River. That's what it was before we irrigated it and it would return to that state if cut off from the rest of the country. Only now, it is populated by 15 million citizens and probably around 5 million illegal immigrants.
