If you're an advocate of the night-watchman state concept, how can you not interpret mass illegal immigration as an abuse against the citizenry of the state? Illegal immigrants defraud and commit acts of aggression and theft on the American people. Their willful illegal presence and neglect of sovereign state law is an act of aggression and fraud in itself.

@Romero: name me one single historical instance where an invading or migrating ethnic group replaced another ethnic group, and adopted the values and traditions of the ethnic group they replaced.

@ Erick Lloyd Wayne: the Romans also did not completely replace the populations of the countries they conquered. They invaded, occupied, and subjugated. They didn't flood their provinces with ethnic Romans that would outbreed and replace the native populations. That is why Germanic or Britannic populations, for example, were still largely ethnically homogeneous even after the fall of Rome.
