@ Seth Hackley: Affirmative Blaction started with FDR and Executive Order 8802. Then JFK and LBJ with Executive Order 10925 and Executive Order 11246. Hit the books, you stupid fuck.

Ben Winter he was a subhuman for sure and the architect of the Great Society. If anyone should be hated by Blacks in this country, it is LBJ. The devastating effects of his policies served to denigrate all communities, but impacted Blacks the worst.

@ Offense...: exactly, historical grievances can't be the groundwork by which we establish some kind of victimhood hierarchy which supersedes meritocratic achievement. Equality is meritocracy without any legally sanctioned discrimination i.e. "the content of your character, not the color of your skin." AA is legally sanctioned discrimination, pure and simple.

lycan73 all three of the executive orders I mentioned were signed into law before Nixon was even inaugurated. The Revised Philadelphia Plan was initiated during Nixon's term, but was based on LBJ and Kennedy's executive orders. It most certainly did NOT "start out as a right wing thing."
