"Progressives" are mentally deranged socialists. They want populist economics, mass unfettered Third World immigration, welfarism, and multiculturalism, which is a recipe for disaster. The only type of populism that is sustainable is Rightist in nature. Fuck "Progressives," they are a disgrace to their namesake, and a more apt moniker for them is Regressive.

Progressives claim to be for the public good, but they are not because their policy will only add to the chaos. @jack frost: The silly culture war? There is nothing silly about the culture war. The Left has destroyed this country by destroying our culture, and the damage is irreparable. Also, Medicare is not the VA. Publicly subsidized healthcare is not the same as socialized healthcare. The VA annual budget is 166 billion to provide subpar care for about 9 million vets. Take that budget and apply it per capita to 350 million people and it ends up costing over 6 trillion per year, which far exceeds our current federal budget by over 2 trillion dollars. You don't know what you're talking about. I honestly don't know which is more tragic, your command of the English language of your lack of political acumen.

I agree with many in this thread that Italians are overall retarded and can't be trusted, but they also were doing far better economically before they entered the EU. If there is an Italexit, many will follow. Also consider that if the predicted winner takes power, there will be states controlled by right wing populists spanning from the Baltic to the Mediterranean, dividing Europe in half and possibly even disrupting the Schengen Zone, theoretically preventing migrants from entering Western Europe.

@Louis Brown: I am an American of Germanic and Celtic ancestry. The second commenter on this thread was correct, putting faith in the Italian populace is ignorant by the majority of measures. I was in Italy last year and it is a multicultural Hell project filled with lazy, shifty and vain people. I still hope they can turn their country around for the good of Evropa, but the Italians are no different than the French or Spanish. To quote the British Lt. General Webb from one of my favorite books, the Last of the Mohicans, "Their Gallic laziness combines with their Latinate voluptuousness with the result that they would rather eat and make love with their faces than fight."

Louis Brown What makes you think I support the current German state? Just because I have Germanic ancestry? Btw, the Germans are not the architects of the cancer inflicting Europa right now, it was the Jews. Germany, like all the West, has allowed themselves to become slaves of Mammonism. The Italians are fighting back, but they haven't done anything of value in some time. Their country is overrun, but like I said, I hope they actually do fight back and win. Also, I am not basing my interpretation based solely upon any singular book I read. I'm basing it upon the last couple hundred years of history. Italians have become decadent as a culture, but they still have noble bloodlines. You seem to have a problem with anyone speaking poorly of the current status of Italians, but have no problem speaking poorly of other nations and peoples. Lol
