One of the criteria he identified as a thought reform tactic (coercion) used by totalist ideologies (cults) is called mystical manipulation. Fake hate crimes are mystical manipulation i.e. a manipulation of reality that appear spontaneous but is, in fact, planned and orchestrated by the group or its leaders in order to falsely legitimize the main tenets of the ideology. Cultural Marxists need violent acts of racism in order to justify their ideology, and because there is very little racial violence in the West, their acolytes feel a need to create fake hate crimes so their ideology seems more valid.

  2. My Master's thesis argued that university leftism is a neo-Marxist cult. I used Dr. Robert Lifton's eight tactics/criteria of thought reform used by totalist ideologies and applied it to cultural Marxism. One of the tactics/criteria was called mystical manipulation which is a manipulation of reality that appear spontaneous but is, in fact, planned and orchestrated by the group or its leaders in order to falsely legitimize the main tenets of the ideology. I argued that fake hate crimes done by cultural Marxists is a form of mystical manipulation. They need violent acts of racism to be happening just for their ideology to appear valid, and because there is very little actual racial violence in the West, their acolytes stoop to the level of mystical manipulation.

  4.  @GoonSquadLifeMember  Defending it was simple. The university Left meets Lifton's criteria in some extremely obvious ways. I couldn't care less what my peers thought of my topic. My professor did not like it, but couldn't really give me a poor grade because in the end, he would have had no other reasoning other than that he didn't agree with me. He knew that I had filed grievances with the provost regarding some of his colleagues discriminating against my views, so I don't think he was interested in dealing with that.

  5.  @SenorMeinKrafter  When was the last time you heard of a case when a person of European descent faked a hate crime? Yeah...it never happens, even though whites are constantly targeted because of their race by nonwhites. Maybe pull your head out of your ass and take a look around.
