The VA actually does give them 100% disability rating ($2900-$3200/month tax free) for the rest of their life for transgenderism. You also get full health care benefits for life.

I also am a disabled veteran. I broke my pelvis and shattered two vertebrae. I have L-3 to S-1 fused and metal in my pelvis holding it together. I don't get 100% and they still consider me to be employable. :)

By the way, that's $2,160,000 over the course of 60 years for only serving 2-3 years in the military, pushing papers or whatever.

Freedom Johnson VA psychological rating system, Rating authorities. They routinely rate major depressive disorder associated with gender identity disorder at around 80%-100%.

@Sagrotan: I know you're just trying to be humorous, and I don't mean to be a curmudgeon, but I don't find this topic to be very funny.

@ Skald: Yes, most are rated under psychological factors like major depressive disorder from gender identity disorder. Some also claim PTSD or MST for having to "endure" military service in their mental state of confusion and instability. I've also heard (but don't know for sure if it's true) that some have received sex reassignment while in the service, or as a veteran and they can get rated for complications, scars, etc. for that as well.
