Sam Muckerman are you seriously arguing against cultural homogeneity and assimilation of immigrants by saying that these things are collectivist and against individualism by nature? This has nothing to do with individual rights. This has to do with national identity. People that intend to live and stay in a country should adapt to that culture. To do otherwise causes civil unrest and social alienation because of competing cultural ideological influences. The only place assimilation isn't expected to occur is White countries which is why Western cultures are being undermined, watered down, and obliterated.

Sam Muckerman: No one is saying your German ancestors didn't assimilate, but you said yourself it took generations, which is unacceptable. My Great Grandparents were named Hans and Hada Diederichsen, German immigrants from Schleswig-Holstein. They did not speak German in the house, as they knew this would encourage their children (my grandmother) to identity as German instead of American. This is common in many immigrant households (the better ones). My grandmother still spoke fluent German. Assimilating does not mean you completely lose every aspect of your cultural heritage, you just recognize that you aren't in Germany anymore and you are expected to become American.

I'm saying that European governments and the EU are subsidizing a mass invasion by allowing opportunistic migrants to come in unvetted and collect welfare benefits. Canada wouldn't have even partaken in the war effort unless the British and U.S. invaded. 200,000 more Poles died fighting the Germans than did Canadians. 367,000 more Americans. The greatest single feat by the Canadians during WWII was taking the insignificant Juno Beach, and the casualties there were nothing compared to Omaha and Gold. 340 dead as opposed to 2000-5000. America rescued Europe after the British did what they could to stop the Germans. The Canadians just came along for the ride.

Also, the Basque probably didn't even come from Africa. They carry the largest frequency of the Rb1-haplogroup, which is the most commonly occurring subclade in Celtic populations. R-haplogroups are found mostly in Indo-Europeans. E haplogroups are found mostly in Africa. The "Out of Africa" theory has been pretty much debunked at this point. Then instead of taking them back to Tunisia or Libya, which would be the nearest port, and complying with international maritime law, they take them to Sicily instead. @ Nick from the Dotte : I agree with you mostly. Here is what I disagree with though: you said "As we know, no group ever does if there are a significant number of them." This is patently false my friend. There were large numbers of various European ethnic and cultural groups that immigrated here. The difference is that: 1.) they immigrated prior to cultural Marxism and cultural and moral relativism infiltrating and diseasing our culture, causing them to think they have a right not to assimilate. 2.) They were all more or less racially homogenous, and shared many of the same cultural values and heritages. Civic nationalism worked in those days. But it won't work now unless we 1.) establish a quota system that takes only compatible immigrants that are of some use to our country and 2.) experience a cultural shift that encourages full assimilation as they did for the first 200 some odd years this country existed. I don't see either of those things happening, so I agree with you that civic nationalism doesn't work. Still, it is better than what we have currently.

@ Le Hunt: speaking the native language in the household is generally a phenomenon that occurs in the first generation, when the parent immigrants did not have education in English. Still, the attempt should be made to learn the native tongue and it should be spoken in the household if the children are going to English speaking schools. Bilingualism is a good thing, but you'll see many people that are bilingual purposefully speak English, even amongst other bilingual friends or family members, when they are in an English speaking country. Indians do this very often in the U.S. You will hardly ever hear Indians speaking Hindi in the United States, especially when English-speaking ears can hear them.

Flamedestructor I talk to some Canadians that understand that Canada's fate is directly tied to the U.S. and Britain. One aspect of many that is bad about multiculturalism is that it destroys the Western identity in Western countries. Bipolar Warlock I would say it only works with extremely similar cultures that are racially homogeneous. It worked in the United States back when 99% of immigrants came from Europe. That Arab will never be an ethnic Greek, clearly. Nor will any Turk living in Germany ever be a German. The least they can do it speak the language and identify as a citizen of the country they are squatting in.
