Yeah, I'm not so sure about that. I think like any country, there are people in Iran who support the government narrative and those who don't. The media on both sides can spin the narrative they want using selective footage, data, interviews, etc. When I was in Iraq and Afghanistan, some of the people there were nice to us or at least passive, but many (I'd say even most) were frustrated if not outright hostile to our presence. They would call American forces "]evvish forces" because they see our presence there to be completely linked to Zionist interests. Looking back on it, and considering this Iran situation, it's hard to disagree with them.
