  1. Indeed. Why build solar arrays in some tinhorn Third World dictatorship in Africa? After the nightmarish bureaucratic process it would end up costing U.S. taxpayers millions per solar array to build facilities in unstable countries that likely would let their new arrays go to shit anyways. Not to mention, those countries don't even produce that much in the way of emissions in comparison to the U.S. and many of the countries that were a part of the Paris Accords i.e. China and India. The best thing we could do for the global environment and the most fiscally intelligent thing to do would be for each country to convert their infrastructure over to renewables independently. We could create a LOT of U.S. jobs, too.
