  1. He's so full of shit. Postmodernists always try to twist things into a stew of incomprehensible nonsense to try to divert critics. But basically what he argued is that acknowledging a person's biology is the same as making a deterministic conclusion about that person's ability or potential based on their biology. The two are not the same. So by pretending that gender doesn't exist and is a social construct, it liberates people from what is societally or culturally expected of them based on their biology. But here's the thing. That doesn't mean that gender is actually a social construct. It means that he believes that mainstreaming that lie is worth it because it promotes what he considers positive social change. This is the whole point of postmodernism and why it is so despised. Postmodernists have admitted as much that social change is more important than the truth.

  2.  @mnichols2011  I think the point is that they deny and attempt to subvert biological reality because they think social change is more virtuous and important than truth. They think deception is a valid way to create equal outcomes. But it would all be artificial.
