It also gears men towards discipline and productivity. It increases T levels and athletic endurance. Moreover, it helps young men maintain a more realistic perception of normal sexual relations and behavior. The instant gratification and normalized dehumanization in modern porn leads to measurable social ineptitude and bizarre sexuality. Also, it is a way of boycotting an industry that promotes all kinds of degenerate behavior and exploits young women, often ruining their chances of ever living a normal life.

itshiho That's very nihilistic and selfish and that mentality is everything that's wrong with this society. Life isn't just about moving from one feel good experience to the next. It's about deferring your gratification sometimes and saving it for your posterity. If you want to be a degenerate, go ahead. But don't promote that behavior. Some of us actually have a purpose beyond pleasuring ourselves.

@Doug Lucas: It isn't so much the frequency, but the instant gratification and exposure to unrealistic sexuality i.e. porn is not an accurate representation of normal sex. It also increases young men's tendency to subconsciously objectify girls. Guys that are old enough remember times before internet porn. It was not the same. If you're old enough to remember those times, you can't deny it.

The Source and the Eschaton I don't worship anything. I don't moralize either, I simply denounce people who try to spread toxic viewpoints and behaviors. Think of it this way: someone who promotes something toxic and unhealthy like porn (or denies that it is toxic and unhealthy) is like a person who willfully promotes people smoking cigarettes or denies that cigarettes are unhealthy. Impulsive and detrimental habits should not be promoted. I don't really care if people want to ruin their own lives, but I don't tolerate people that try to drag others down with them. Does that make sense?

@Richard Stylez: You're correct that a period of ~three months of not ejaculating will actually decrease your T-levels. The idea is to have sex, obviously, and the amount that makes men maintain the highest average T level is once every two weeks or so. But there is scientific research to prove short term abstinence increases T-levels. Why don't you research it before you claim there is no science behind it? https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/11760788 http://www.abc.net.au/catalyst/chemistryofattraction/download/Oberzaucher_Poster.pdf https://www.researchgate.net/profile/Alonso_Fernandez-Guasti/publication/6536830_Relationship_between_sexual_satiety_and_brain_androgen_receptors/links/54b6c2970cf2e68eb27f0321.pdf
