As a mental health professional I am sceptical of cod diagnosis of personality disorders made by laypersons but I now do genuinely believe that Johnson is a narcissistic personality disorder.

@SimonPlowman socio path is a mainly an American term - in terms of actual diagnosis - and is equivalent to a psychopath or a antisocial personality disorder which he could be but NPD fits better, I think. Nasty bit of work suits nicely, too.

@andrewdavy9921 bit of a wide sweep. My experience of primary care mental health suggests that every profession has my issues although (apart from musical theatre students ) we were massively over represented with teachers. I think people in the nhs are generally left wing. Perhaps not socialist. I’m one, obviously. My ward managers a fan of Boris Johnson.

@emmabrooker166 Which is (as long as it’s behaviour demonstrated over a long period of time which it is in his case) pretty much what a NPD is.
