You should probably mention that they sold the car park etc to themselves. It’s still bent.

So this isn’t a surprise, really. Mitchel and Eddie have never quite hit it off and now Eddie has a cup and CL in his bag his cudos in majorly high. Mitchell won’t be able to compete with this and Eddie will be calling the shots on strategy, logistic and policy. This is simply untenable for mitchel so he’s left. It’s happened quickly which is a good thing. It dragging on would have been very detrimental.

I think it was mutual. They mutually couldn’t stand each other.

Mbappe was probably thinking “I wish I played here!” Well, on that performance you wouldn’t get a start, mate!

I’m all for the regulation of finances but the current system is clearly unfair. You have the ‘big six’ who pulled up the ladder after them and then tried to claim there was never a ladder in the first place and they were just better at jumping than the other teams. The rest of the prem isn’t interested in letting rivals buy a load of new players so it’s a case of democracy being two wolves and a lamb voting on what to have for dinner.

Eddie Howe will develop a midfield that has players that will be no 6, no 8 and even no 11 when they need to be. They will lose the positional restraints and be all things to all midfielders. They”ll all be expected to link with a false 9 (probably our other ‘new signing’ Gordon) as well as being press busters and pivots.

A certain pundit went on and on about the City team changes until they were interrupted to tell them the Toon made ten changes to their starting line up. They really should do better imo.

I really don’t think he was that bad. No one had tried to hit him as far as we know!

I am soooooo hung over.

@UncleJoeJoe Heaven with a Hangover. Sounds like a good song title.

@neildecarteret6143 Yeah! He’s so unmotivated and it’s really obvious. L’Equippe gave him a 2 in their player ratings. He needs to leave for PSGs sake as much his own. Can’t see him at the Toon though. He’d wreck the pay structure and he’s not really a player for our system although really he’s good enough to play for anyone and make it work. Maybe in five years!

It was clearly about him and Eddie and Eddie won. Or more likely, with. Darren Eales leaving (good luck mate) Mitchell was all out of allies.

@stuboy13 I tried to pretend I was protecting his anonymity but I actually just didn’t know his name.

Domestic trophy in 70 years.

If chewsi win anything it will just prove that football is broken.

But the current system just does the same thing - it just maintains the status quo. The new system would protect the majority of ‘smaller’ clubs though from going bankrupt/insolvent.

@@stiffgators4492 I suppose the analog would be ASM. (Or Ginola or Robert or etc etc). If Mbappe was able to set his ego aside and follow the coaching he’d be much happier. Currently, he’s setting himself up to fail. He feels he has to be the best player on the pitch every time he plays which, as demonstrated on Wednesday night, isn’t possible in a team game. Interestingly, Real may not even recruit him next year. They may balk at his wages and stick with the ‘best young players’ policy. At which point where does he go?

Chelsea have to make sales like this to balance the books. It’s their financial strategy in a nutshell. Without these sales they’re in FFP doggy do.

Leadership. Modern football brains. Money/investment. In that order. No, really! That order.
