“Why don’t presidents fight the war? Why do they always send the poor?”

Shows how much they were scared of what JC stood for.

A man who genuinely threatened the establishment and took the consequences. What they did to him was terrifying. Utterly terrifying.

Great work. Very courageous too. It takes real guts to challenge a system as monolithic as the British military.

His early comments reminded me of ‘Suicide in the trenches’ by Siegfried Sassoon. You smug-faced crowds with kindling eye Who cheer as soldier lads march by Sneak home and pray you never know The hell where youth and laughter go.

I wonder if we could have our Labour Party back, please.

Nail Head! Work harder, faster for less. These people see the work force not as actual people but as an element in a process by which they get more money. Left without constraints what extremes would they go to? How far would they exploit us? Pretty bloody far, I’d say.

I’m going stop watching this channel. I just feel so angry and frustrated. How did our country get so bent out of shape?! It’s always been crooked but now!! Jesus! Awful. Just awful. I was looking forward to mellowing at this age but I’m even more vehement and left wing now than when I was 19!

If you don’t want to be called fascist then don’t behave like fascists. Simple.
47
@weediestbroom I have say I think you’re probably right. Maybe not killed but assassinated some other way. A set up scandal or similar. Which is basically what they did anyway, thinking about it.
40
This country is just rotten to the core.....

Absolutely fascinating. I think the left need to rock this idea of the Tory party being bought by a few super rich oligarchs. Even the likes of my mum - bless her - would balk at the idea of the tories being owned by the super rich.
32
@xavierhucklenbruch1798 Win by standing for what? Tony Blair II?
24
The advantage the tories have always had is the fact that they are defending the status quo so they can just take one great big caltrop type approach because that way nothing will change. This has been so astonishingly depressing.
20
Very well stated, Mr C. This won’t go away. They’ll try and get it in the stealth way. The same way they are trying to stealthily sell of the NHS. They’ll fugue out a way to get this done incrementally and on the quiet. But they’ll get their way - or at least they’ll still be trying to.
19
Outstanding if also very depressing.
17
Few people scare me like Elon Musk. He is a dangerous fantasist and a clever narcissist
14
God ! This is sooo depressing.
14
That made me actually lol. Not figuratively but actually. Cheers. It’s also true btw.
12
Fantastic. Let’s make sure the memories of these lovely people are not hijacked by the right wing.

Great work

Well, fair play for fessing up. Too many people just ignore their failings and carry on regardless.

@petergaskinuk-1785 Quite a few inanimate objects gave making their way around our front room of late. Usually accompanied by me roaring and shouting “The Tory bastards!!” Or words to that effect.
6
@daikayll1897 That final face at the end of the opening credits from WAW still haunts me !!

@allen5513 The people of Britain ain’t what I’m on about. The establishment saw policies aimed at their money and moved their ‘machinery’ to ensure he never got in or came close. Manipulative action against the voters is just the way in which it’s achieved. (No I’m not wearing a tin foil hat either:)

@RichardASalisbury1 I was going to say that your friend was ‘lucky’ to have survived the Somme offensive but then he would be pretty dumb unlucky to have been there in the first place.
2
@avienated It’s a good ‘in alright. I prefer him to Wilfred Owen. Owen seems a bit jingoistic at times. Like he was actually pro war sometimes. Sassoon was clearly utterly sickened by all aspects of it.
2
@stephenhill8790 Yes! Exactly that!
2
@brynleytalbot778 I grew up in the 1970s and this idea of rabid unionism gone mad is just another right wing media myth. Yeah, I suppose there were some strikes for the wrong reasons but not many. Most strikes for ‘ the wrong reasons’ weren’t about avarice anyway + they were usually because they had tanky leaders.

Great stuff

Great work. Fight the power.

@the_local_bigamist The clip of paras shooting at an image of Corbyn was really scary especially when framed with the general who said that they’d stage a coup if he was elected. These people have no idea of what they’re there for i.e. to serve the people - they see themselves as there to protect the status quo and the ruling class hegemony. A ex-patient of mine did ‘Peace Studies” at UCL. The only leftie in his whole course as far as he could make out. The rest were all ex military. They were “idiots from the worlds biggest echo chamber” who never ever gave a moments thought to the actual purpose of a military but just assumed it was to protect the vested interest of the Elite. That was his description of the other students.

@mohamedsheik4589 Exactly. Good man.

Well said. Good man.

I like this guy!

Positive comment.

Yes.
1
@christianzilla well exactly.
1
@1gerard47 OK. So go out and get a load of books about WW1/2. Fiction books. Look at the characters and who the stories are aimed at. Look then at the sorts of folks who utilise the imagery and stories of the military. Look at those who declare unconditional, unwavering support for the military. That sort of “right wing” is what I’m getting at.
1
@mcdinkity sorry - I’m not sure what you mean. (Apologies if I’m being a bit thick).
1
@susanpatricialewis5862 correct you as you not think.
1
@hadror13 I’d love to.
1
Should have had ‘5:45’ the Gang of Four as the soundtrack to this video.
1
Well done Naomi. You’re a total ledge.
1
Terrifying.
1
@johnburns8660 very powerful story.
1
I’ve got ADD so this has an extra dimension for me.
1
Well said.
1
@miakeogh6844 I know. I hope my lot go out!
1
He’s not inspiring me in anyway. He’s obviously a ‘company guy’ (ie part of the establishment) and therefore not a threat. And if he’s not a threat to the establishment then why are we bothering with him?
1
That never occurred to me. Scared.
1
This guys funny! I like him:) and he quotes Einstein.

The people with the money ie the super rich, actually believe that they are entitled to their wealth because they “earned it”. But all of them know deep down that they are not entitled to the wealth that they have. They concoct stories and lies about the way they got their money but they know that the moral and fair thing to do distribute it fairly. But they are not moral people. They are disconnected from the world. They lose context over money. To them, there’s no point in having a big mansion if everyone can have a big house, too. To them, wealth is about exclusion and them having it all. But the masses scare them. Their worst nightmare is an organised working population.
1
Great park. Thank you.

Assign respect to these people.
