  1. The Netherlands was not ravaged by the Napoleonic Wars. The Netherlands was not a battleground during these wars. In fact, no country was ravaged during the Napoleonic Wars. There was no large-scale destruction of civilian populations or lands during these wars. Perhaps the only area remotely ravaged was Russia at its own hands, Moscow for instance.
