  1. The comment about Iran and the CIA is a bit off. Britain was the primary actor in the coup not the CIA and the reason for the coup was the nationalization of BP oil fields by the newly elected Communist leader in Iran. Mossadegh was quite unpopular with the people, became a dictator after dissolving parliament and was actually overthrown by the Iranian military supported by mass protests against his govt. Also the Shah was a King and to refer to him as a dictator is a bit off. Also the fact that Truman backed a Greek monarch rather than communists, should not be surprising.
