Glanz, though a superlative historian on this topic, is simply wrong about lend lease and seems to ignore the obvious inability of the USSR to provide even basic logistical and technical support, without lend lease. Everything from aviation fuel, rail lines, trucks and jeeps, food, basic metals, radio equipment, ammunitions, explosions and a host of other essential items necessary to keep an army in field. No lend lease, likely means a collapse of the Soviet Economy at worst, to a strictly defensive war for the USSR at best.
