  1. He was supported by the Repo party. He lost the election because of the debate, during which he failed to follow up and exploit the vulnerabilities of Obama's flawed policies. He also failed at multiple levels during the campaign, despite the horrible results of Obama's first 4 years of governance. Romney was too restrained, unable to speak to the common man or relate, allowed the Demos to define him in foolish and petty ways and never exploited his obvious advantages, speaking to the possibilities that he would bring if elected i.e. Ronald Reagan.

  3. No, he is not even close to the best senator. Romney is a disappointment and has failed at critical levels during his tenure, which is why he is so despised. His antipathy towards Trump, for example, skewed his view during the ridiculous impeachments. He does not understand American society currently and this is why he cannot understand the populism changing the American political system currently. No, Harry and Meghan M. are horrific. It is best that he is leaving.

  6. Romney would have made a very good president and far better than Obama but as a Senator, he has been a disappointment largely. Trump, regardless of his character flaws, is vastly better than anything the Demo party has to offer, each of which is absolutely authoritarian in outlook. Look no further than COVID and the policies followed by Demo governors and Biden admin.
