  1. This was not good. Kaitlin's insults were not helpful and most of her arguments were fairly weak. She needs a better basic understanding of her positions. Latinos are not a race, she ought to have pointed this out. Latinos and Hispanics are a cultural and linguistic label which encompasses all racial groups. If she wants to attack taxation and equate it with theft, that is largely a canard. Certainly the govt can force compliance but given that we vote in representatives who vote to tax, we have, in effect agreed to the principal that govt. can tax. Theft would be taking wealth without any kind of representation. When someone says spending money on X is better than spending on the military, the counter arguments are legion but first and foremost is the Constitution, which specifically allows govt to provide for the common defense, raise armies and navies etc...Social Security, Medicare and welfare programs in general are not provided for, even under the provide for the general welfare clause, which in no way meant govt spending to support the population but allowed for large projects that no individual state of community could accomplish, i.e. the intercontinental railroads or highway system. Also the actual military budget is a mere 3.5% of GDP which is the lowest it has been since before WWII. 66% of the budget is encompassed by SS, Medicare and Medicaid. Kaitlin also should have accepted the girl's apology.
