  1. 550 men killed in a week, during a war is/was not a catastrophe. The Tet Offensive was a complete military disaster for the Vietcong and N. Vietnam. Some 90% of all insurgent cadres were killed and never replaced, during the offensive. The only thing catastrophic about Tet was the way the media portrayed the battle and warped a great victory into a terrible set back.

Just as we acknowledge the slavery of many of the Founders, Jefferson's relationship with Sally Hemmings, Churchill's bombing of Dresden, Mohammad's marriage to Aisha at 6 yrs of age and sex with her at 9, Joan of Arc, saint of Psychotic? It all needs to be evaluated in the light of day.
