  1. There is no military industrial complex and those who espouse this antiquated idea are simply ignorant. Also, Carlson is a fool regarding US foreign policy. Every American intervention or involvement outside the borders of the country, is not unnecessary nor unwise or unjustified. What is going on in Ukraine is not going to lead to a war between the US and Russia and no one is advocating this position. Providing military aid to Ukraine also, is not provocative and is completely warranted, given the Russian moves. Carlson has become an isolationist, which is tantamount to being an ostrich burying its head in the sand. The US cannot simply abandon the world and retreat behind our oceans. To do so which be disastrous and lead to an extremely dangerous world, one which would be very hostile to America and its prosperity and interests. Tucker is naive.

  2. 70 years ago. The world has turned and the military and the industry supporting it, is vastly reduced since then. Those who use this tired phrase in the modern day and delusional. American spending on defense equates to a mere 3.5% of GDP, hardly a massive, overarching cabal of conspiracy.
