  1.  @donelsw6676  Read Revelations, there is a massive number of prognostications and ideas in the book which seem to go far beyond Nero or ancient Rome or if so, more explanations are needed. Here are several of the major themes: Prologue (Rev. 1) Letters to the seven churches (Rev. 2–3) The throne room and the scroll with seven seals (Rev. 4–5) Judgments and vignettes Seal judgments (Rev. 6) 144,000; the multitude (Rev. 7) Trumpet judgments (Rev. 8–9) The angel and a little scroll (Rev. 10) Two witnesses (Rev. 11) A pregnant woman and the dragon (Rev. 12) Two beasts (Rev. 13) 144,000 on Mount Zion; three angels; harvest of the earth (Rev. 14) Bowl judgments and the battle of Armageddon (Rev. 15–16) A woman on the beast and the fall of Babylon (Rev. 17–18) The Millennium and the Last Judgment (Rev. 19–20) A new heaven and new earth (Rev. 21) Epilogue (Rev. 22) 1) Crown of life (Rev 2:10) The saints who remain faithful until the end will receive a “crown of life”. 2) War in heaven (Rev 12:7) The “war in heaven” is a spiritual war for our souls. Satan does not want the faithful to be saved. 3) Lamb of God (Rev 5:12) is the Alpha and Omega ( Rev 21:6 ) The “Lamb of God” is Jesus Who was “slain”. Jesus died for us. He has the power over TIME. The “Alpha and Omega” means He is the beginning and the end of TIME. 4) The Harvest (Rev 14:15) The “Harvest” is the final day when all on earth will be judged for their works; whether they were faithful or unfaithful. 5) A new heaven and a new earth (Rev 21:1) The earth and heaven we now know will be destroyed. A “new heaven” and a “new earth” will be the new home for the faithful. 6) Tree of life (Rev 22:2) Jesus promised us eternal life. The leaves on the “tree of life” are for healing. Whoever eats of the tree can live forever. But they have to be in heaven because that’s where the tree is. Only the faithful will be in heaven. 7) JESUS IS COMING AGAIN! (Rev 22:12) The faithful are in the church of Christ. The church is the “bride of Christ”. Jesus promised He would come again for His bride. The church will be glad when Jesus comes! Through his sacrificial death, Jesus Christ has conquered Satan, the accuser, and has ransomed people from every nation to become a kingdom of priests, gladly serving in God’s presence. Jesus Christ is present among his churches on earth through his Holy Spirit, and he knows their trials, triumphs and failures. World history, including its woes and disasters, is firmly in the control of Jesus, the victorious Lamb. God is presently restraining his own wrath and his enemies’ efforts to destroy the church as he patiently gathers his redeemed people through the testimony that his suffering people proclaim about Jesus. Present disasters (war, drought, famine, epidemic disease), though limited in scope by God’s restraint, are foreshadows and warnings of escalating judgments to come. By maintaining their faithful testimony to the death, believers in Jesus will conquer both the dragon and the beast. The martyrs’ victory, now hidden, will be manifest in their vindication at Christ’s return. Satan attacks the church’s perseverance and purity through violent persecution, through deceptive teaching, and through affluence and sensual pleasure. At the end of the age, the church’s opponents will intensify persecution, but Jesus, the triumphant Word of God, will defeat and destroy all his enemies; the old heaven and earth, stained by sin and suffering, will be replaced by the new heaven and earth; and the church will be presented as a bride in luminous purity to her husband, the Lamb.
