  1. Your initial commentary is ignorant. All of the infrastructure and public transport in China are due to massive overleveraging by the govt. pumping trillions into projects, without regard for profitability. Also, with a population of 1.4 billion, public transport makes sense given that density. In the US, there is only a narrow band along the East Coast with anything approaching such numbers to justify public trans. Such projects are massively expensive and to simply build them because people like yourself find them to be convenient is inane. If you live in a city of 3,000,000 you are not in a backwater anything and given the huge number of people, obviously human labor is dirt cheap. Have you not thought any of this through? Amazingly naive commentary.

  3. You really ought not use the word genocide to refer to the Uyghur internment. There are many legitimate words which could be used to describe this horrendous policy but up til now, it is not genocide. The Chinese are not killing man, woman and child and attempting to exterminate the Uyghur people. When you misuse words like genocide to describe something else, you degrade victims of actual genocide.

  5. You can't use the word genocide to describe the situation with the Uyghurs. They are not being killed en masse. It's not a genocide. It is a crime against humanity, it is mass incarceration, it is ethnic persecution, religious persecution but not genocide. If it's not tantamount to the holocaust, don't use the word. You denigrate the meaning when you do this.
